Mohan
S. Misra, Ph.D., Chairman: Dr. Misra also
is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of ITN. Before
founding ITN in 1994, Dr. Misra spent 19 years with
Martin Marietta in the areas of material research,
development and manufacturing. While at Martin
Marietta, Dr. Misra worked first as manager of Research
and Technology, then led the company’s development
of long-term technology strategies. Dr. Misra
has helped develop and implement several key technologies
for aerospace applications including thin-film photovoltaic,
smart materials, advanced composites and lightweight
structures. Dr. Misra holds a B.S. degree in
Metallurgical Engineering from Benaras Hindu University
in India, a M.S. degree in Metallurgical Engineering
from the University of Washington and a Ph.D. in
Metallurgical Engineering from the Colorado School
of Mines.
Stanley Gallery: Since 1984, Mr.
Gallery has been the chief executive officer of Carts
of Colorado, Inc., a provider of mobile merchandising
for the food service industry. He also is managing
partner of G3 Holdings LLC, which makes real estate
and other investments, primarily in the Denver area. He
also is a co-founder of Bluegate Creek JV and Bluegate
Creek II, which are oil and gas ventures in Wyoming.
Prior to joining Ascent, Mr. Gallery served on the
board of directors of ITN from 2001 until joining our
Board in October 2005.
Ashutosh Misra: Mr. Misra has been
Vice President of Operations at ITN since 1998. In
that role, he is responsible for day to day Business
Operations of ITN. He also presided over the
prior spin-offs of three separate companies from ITN. From
2002 until March 2005, Mr. Misra also served as the
President and Chief Executive officer of Data Access
America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Data Access India,
Limited, a Tier 1 telecommunications carrier based
in India. Prior to joining ITN Mr. Misra worked for
MTI International as Operations Manager and was responsible
for setting up electronic manufacturing and related
facilities in the US, Mexico, Singapore, Indonesia,
and India. Mr. Misra holds a Bachelor of Engineering
Degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Bangalore
University in India, and a M.S. degree in Electrical
Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.
T.W. Fraser Russell, Ph.D. Dr. Russell
is the Allan P. Colburn Professor in the Department
of Chemical Engineering at the University of Delaware. Dr.
Russell holds numerous honors including induction as
a member of the National Academy of Engineering in
1990 and as a fellow of the American Institute of Chemical
Engineers (“AIChE”) in 1995. He is
a named co-inventor on four U.S. patents in the areas
of thin-films and photovoltaic technologies and is
the author of over 100 published scientific articles. Besides
sitting on committees of the AIChE and the American
Society of Engineering Education, Dr. Russell also
serves on a committee of the National Renewable Energy
Laboratory (“NREL”) that is charged with
reviewing and recommending PV research programs. Dr.
Russell holds a B.Sc. degree and a M.Sc. degree from
the University of Alberta in Canada and a Ph.D. from
the University of Delaware.
Mark T. Waller: Mr. Waller
is the President and founder of BridgeWorks Capital,
a specialized merchant bank focusing on the organization
and financing of small- and micro-cap companies. Mr.
Waller has over 25 years of management, deal structuring
and investor relations experience. He attended
Reed College in Portland, Oregon.
