Sales Engineer

Ascent Solar Technologies, Inc. is a developer of thin-film photovoltaic modules with substrate materials that can be more flexible and affordable than most traditional solar panels. We are looking for a qualified Sales Engineer with technical experience and a business-oriented mindset to join our world manufacturing headquarters located in Thornton, Colorado.

Responsibilities:

-Work closely with Sales and Product Development teams to support key accounts and generate innovative design wins in support of corporate revenue and growth objectives
-Deliver post-sales technical support consisting of customer/channel training, field support, and troubleshooting
-Evaluate project results and performance to assist in implementation of internal continuous improvement measures
-Assist Product Development team with product design, reliability, evaluation, or quality functions of new and/or existing products
-Gather and report intelligence from the field concerning industry, customer and competitive developments
-Prepare weekly reports and timely written communication on design/project activities
-Coordinate and validate required technical documents (electrical, structural, site plan drawings and/or related documents)
-Other duties as needed.

Requirements:

-Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
-Bachelor's degree required; engineering concentration preferred
-Requires two to three years of technical sales or applications engineer experience
-Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal required
-Strong computer skills working with Word, PowerPoint and Excel
-Up-to-date with current technology trends in PV industry
-Motivated to learn new skill sets and expand knowledge base
-Must be detail-oriented, possess a high level of accuracy and strong organizational skills
-Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
-Successful experience managing projects, multiple priorities and working within time constraints
-Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems effectively
-Ability to interact effectively with all levels in an organization while achieving results
